Our Story
It started with fire.
Asli — "اصلي", meaning original, genuine, real. That single word carries everything we stand for, and it began long before the first store ever opened.

Teta's table, every day
Our founder grew up in Lebanon, in a home where the kitchen was the heart of everything. Her grandmother — Teta — would rise before dawn to bake manoushe, simmer slow-cooked stews and roll grape leaves by hand. Nothing was rushed, nothing was fake. The smell of za'atar and toasted bread is her earliest memory, and her recipes are still etched in her hands.
But what she remembers most is the fire. Every shawarma, every kafta, every sandwich came off a real charcoal grill. The smoke, the char, the crackle — that's what made it taste like home. When she moved to Dubai, she couldn't find a single Lebanese QSR that still used real charcoal. Electric plates, gas grills, conveyor belts. Easier for the kitchen, but not the taste.
So she built it. Asli Beirut is her way of carrying Teta's recipes forward — keeping every bit of their soul, including the live charcoal fire that gives them their real flavour. Fast, affordable and accessible, so everyone can enjoy the marvel of real Lebanese cooking, any day they like.
Fire, not electricity
The recipes are traditional. The ingredients are fresh and prepped in-house all day — herbs chopped, bread baked, meat marinated. And every shawarma, every kafta, every sandwich hits a live charcoal grill before it reaches your plate. No electric shortcuts. No gas pretending to be fire. Real charcoal, because that's the only way it tastes like Beirut.
The only thing we sped up is how quickly you get to enjoy it. We package every meal to travel well too, so the quality you'd expect dining in arrives intact at your door.
